Year 2 trip to Mumbles

On Monday 22nd June Year 2 went to Mumbles in Swansea, which Georgie H in 2S described below:
We had our snack when we arrived and had a play in the park. We then did our survey of all the buildings that we could see on the seafront in Mumbles and chatted about how different they were from the buildings in Llandaff High Street. After that we walked along the promenade to Verdi’s Ice- cream Parlour. I had a lemon sorbet ice cream and it was delicious! Next we walked down the pier to the Lifeboat Station. We had a talk from one of the volunteers and he told us that you could fit 118 people on a lifeboat in an emergency.
After that we walked up to the park and had our lunch. We had fun playing in the park. We then went down to the beach where we had a ‘House’ sandcastle competition and had great fun exploring the rock pools. We found crabs, sea snails, shrimps and beautiful shells. Finally it was time to get back on the bus to go home. We all had a really lovely day.
