Success in schools' Year 9 Indoor Rowing competition

Congratulations to the four students who competed in the Year 9 Indoor Rowing competition on the morning of Saturday 4th July: Caitlan W., Emily C., Rebecca P. and Olivia W. They had four minutes to row as far as they could under tough competition conditions and they all acquitted themselves brilliantly. Rebecca was winning her heat until the final straight when she was pulled up with a bout of nausea but she still completed a very credible 932m. Olivia won her heat and finished 4th overall with 950m. Howell's had two medal winners, with fantastic efforts from  Emily C. taking the bronze medal with a distance of 952m, and Caitlan W winning the silver medal with an excellent result of 957m. The strong performance of the girls meant that Howell's was the best performing school at their level. A fantastic achievement; well done, girls!
