On Saturday 19th September, Years 9 and 10 played matches against the Cathedral School at Sophia Gardens. The Year 9 game was close throughout. The score at the end of the match was 2-1. Everyone contributed to the team outcome. Well done to Elisabeth B. for winning “player of the match” and to Natasha Simmonds for scoring the goal.
The Year 10 team included stand-in goalkeeper Ffion H. from Year 9. The first half was backwards and forwards, with a goal just before half time being scored by Jess B. After the half time break the Cathedral School came back with renewed drive and finally beat HSL by 3-1. All the girls played well and have taken away some positives from the game. The “player of the match” was Ffion H.
