Reception girls "fly to Paris"!

As part of their topic 'Moving Along', the girls in Reception went on a very special journey. Miss Davies handed them all a ticket, which was a boarding pass! It was for flight REC2015 and was taking off from the school hall. They all hurried down to the hall with their passports (which they had made in class) and there they were greeted by flight attendant Mrs Praed. She looked very different! They had to look at their tickets to check their row and seat numbers and then climb aboard. They listened to all the safety instructions. Miss Davies turned into a pilot and started the engine. They climbed high into the sky and had a bird’s eye view of the world below. The girls had refreshments served from a trolley by Mrs Praed and Miss Davies. They finally landed in Paris and visited Disneyland. After watching all the characters on the big screen they climbed back on board and flew back to school. As they were about to disembark, Mrs Praed noticed there was a problem with the steps, which were broken. They had to use the emergency chute! Luckily the girls were all safe and back just in time for 3.15pm. Thank you to Mrs Praed for taking such good care of everyone, and to Miss Davies for her wonderful flying skills. It was just another busy day in Howell's Junior School!
