On the morning of Tuesday 6th October, Howell's hosted its annual Wizard Chess Workshop for Howell's Junior School girls and children from Llandaff City Primary School. The workshop, for beginners from Years 4, 5 and 6, was led by Howell's chess master, Mr Thomas, who explained the rule of chess before the children played games of chess with one another. During the break students were treated to refreshments and watched the wizard chess clip from the Harry Potter film. Everyone had a great time and thoroughly enjoyed learning to play this wonderful game. Many thanks to Mr Thomas for making the morning such a success.
