Year 13 Religious Studies students visited Lam Rim near Raglan on Thursday. They were given a talk about the establishment of the monastery and the history behind it, and a tour of the building, including the magnificent and very colourful shrine room. They learnt about the different aspects of Tibetan Buddhism Puja (worship) and the symbolism and history behind each piece. After lunch they had the chance to meet and have a Q&A session with the Head Monk, with questions ranging from his own quest for enlightenment to Buddhism as a whole.
