TENNIS
Megan C (Year 7) won the David Lloyd Club Regional tennis competition on 13th November. Racket in hand, she is now going to the National finals in London. Good luck, Megan!
NETBALL
The Year 9 Netball team played Ysgol Plasmawr on 15th November in what was a great game dominated by the Howell’s A team. The girls played with exception, despite positional changes due to an injured player, and won 6-0. POM was awarded to Jessica J. The B team played a more competitive game with equal play demonstrated from both teams. The B team played excellently and narrowly missed out in the second half. The score resulted in 5-2 to Plasmawr. Well done to all the girls who played: Ava F, Robyn D, Isabelle W, Lily R, Esther P, Jessica J, Ella K, Freya P, Isabel B, Pascha T, Anna S, Isabel H, Neya G.
HOCKEY
The Year 8 Hockey Team played Whitchurch away on 17th November. It was a very good team performance from the Howell’s girls despite a 2-1 defeat. The match was very competitive and the team worked well against an impressive side who were County Champions last year. Sophia C scored and Annie L was awarded POM. Well done to all the girls who played!
Year 7 played Inter-House Hockey on Tuesday 22nd November in what were some very close matches! The girls played so well, resulting in a final match between Lewis and Kendall. All the girls in the year took part in the afternoon matches. Congratulations to Kendall who won the competition, followed by Lewis 2nd, Trotter 3rd and Baldwin 4th!
Lily R (Year 9) has been selected for the NAG U18 training group after her recent, excellent performance at Futures Cup. Well done Lily!
