Diana Awards

On Thursday 8th of December we attended the Inspire Wales Diana Awards ceremony to support Jumana Arabi, one of our Howell's alumni, who was presented a Diana Award for her outstanding charitable contributions to Islamic relief, Amnesty International campaigns and the support she provided to aid Syrian refugees.

The ceremony was fantastic, with extremely entertaining musical performances, and it was lovely to hear the stories of what other teenagers who were being given an award had done to make our world a better place. Following the presentation ceremony we took part in workshops aiming to develop skills such as public speaking, and provide us with ideas on how to start campaigns. We thoroughly enjoyed the entire day, which we both found very inspiring, and as a result we have become more determined to raise money and awareness for charities and other good causes.
