Amelie and Eloise compete in the Commonwealth Fencing Championships

Amelie and Eloise compete in the Commonwealth Fencing Championships

Huge congratulations to Amelie R in Year 12 who came 5th place in the Cadet U17 Commonwealth Fencing Championships in London. She narrowly lost 14- 15 but was the 2nd highest Brit and top Welsh fencer. Well done Amelie this is an incredible and inspiring performance.

Amelie also competed with her sister Eloise R in Year 10 in the Commonwealth Cadet U17 team event. We're delighted to share that they won a bronze medal in this competition.

The family affair didn't stop there as there were 2 generations competing on the day. Amelie and Eloise's Mum Saskia, who is also a Hywelian, took part in the veteran's individuals and was part of the Welsh Veterans Epee team which came 5th place.

Congratulations to all of you for such fantastic results!
