On Saturday 15th July, 40 Hywelians who left Howell’s in 1986 gathered in the Stone Hall for a reunion with their former classmates, many of whom had not been back to school for over 30 years. Their former History teacher, Mrs Janet Sully, then conducted a tour of the school, which prompted much reminiscing. Afterwards everyone enjoyed drinks in the Stone Hall before sitting down to a delicious meal in the Day Room, which had been beautifully decorated. It was a very happy occasion, full of laughter, chatting and even singing when they congregated on the Stone Hall stairs to sing the old school song. It was lovely to hear as much of their news as possible and the time passed all too quickly! We hope to see many of them at future Hywelian events.
