Many congratulations to our wonderful Year 12 public speaking teams who participated in the BPW Public Speaking Competition on Monday this week. Many of them had not competed in this type of competition before but they all rose to the occasion and gave impressive performances. The competition aims to reproduce a public meeting in miniature. Ffion M and Caitlin M-C acted as chairpersons, while Dagmawi and Chinua thanked the speakers. Our speakers were Evan T, who posed the question ‘America, is it really the land of the free?’ and Restam E-A, who discussed the value of space exploration in today’s world. Mrs Richards was very proud of them all.
