On Saturday 21st April, Isabella C (Year 3) played in the Welsh Chess Megafinal 8 and Under girls category and won. She played beautifully, winning six out of six matches and qualifies for the Gigafinal in Birmingham as the Welsh Suprema in her age group.
Her younger sister, Amelie C (Year 1), played in the 7 and Under category (despite being a year under age) and scored 2 1/2 points, just a single point away from qualifying for the Gigafinal but gaining tremendous experience for next year's competition in the same age group. Very well played, girls!
