It was a pleasure to welcome back the terrific Howell’s Class of 2017 on Thursday 7th September for their Prizegiving Celebration in the Sports Hall. They were joined by proud parents and grandparents, members of the Drapers’ Company, Governors, Hywelians, friends and staff. Prior to the ceremony, our 2017 Drapers’ Scholars, Charlotte C, Ffion E, Henry J, Isabelle M, Nia M-R and Desiree W were delighted to meet and chat with members of the Drapers’ Company, Colonel Richard Winstanley and Mr John Giffard. This year’s speaker was Cheryl Giovannoni, the CEO of the GDST, whose inspirational speech focused on gender equality as well as encouraging students to own their dreams. We wish this year group all the very best in whatever they go on to do and know they have bright futures ahead. We look forward to catching up with them at their first alumni event, Cocktails at Christmas, in December.
