Duke of Edinburgh Award

Duke of Edinburgh’s Award

We head out on our final expedition with Year 9 this weekend, our 3rd weekend this Summer term, with a total of 58 students completing their Bronze expedition, in Afon Argoed and Ogmore. The students have embraced the challenges an expedition brings, and they have certainly enjoyed the experience.

We would like to congratulate the 42 Year 10 students who completed their Bronze expeditions in the not-so-favourable weather in October and November, most have now completed their Bronze Duke of Edinburgh’s Award, well done Year 10. Our 21 Gold DofE students will complete their qualifying expedition in July, where they take on the challenge of the Brecon Beacons. All students are working diligently toward completing the Award.
