Year 3 had a wonderful visit to the Egypt Centre at Swansea University. In the House of Life, we learned how to play the Sennet game, dressed up in wigs and linen costumes to learn about how the Egyptians ran their households, and discovered how linen was made from flax. In the House of Death, we learnt about Egyptian gods, the custom of weighing the heart before entering the Afterlife and even mummified a body. The trip taught us so much about life, and death in Ancient Egypt.
