GDST Junior Maths Conference

Six girls were lucky enough to attend the third, collaborative, academic conference for Year 6 pupils from across the GDST on Wednesday . Over 140 girls from 24 GDST schools, including Howell's girls Anna G, Abi S, Abi T, Grace C, Amber P and Keziah E, took part in the seminar, which focused on coding and was hosted by Oxford University’s Institute of Mathematics.
Norwich High School Junior Head teacher Nick Tiley-Nunn opened the event, which also involved GDST Sixth Formers mentoring the younger girls. It was a fun and interactive event for the girls, who were asked to solve problems and work in teams. It included a group task in the morning and an inter-school quiz during the afternoon. A great day was had by all!
