Sophie D, Caitlin E, Katie G, Anna D, Lottie S, Issy W, Lucy C, Talia G, Olivia W and Caitlan W all travelled to Holme Pierrepont in Nottinghamshire to compete in the first GDST Rowing Regatta. The lake was extremely bumpy and rocky and after lots of rigging using a rigger-jigger (spanner) the girls were ready to race. This was a learning event as it was aimed at new rowers so our older girls were able to take the Year 8s under their wings. Katie, Olivia, Caitlan and Talia all brought home tankards for winning their races after an excellent day on the water.
