Gymnastics News

On Friday 23rd November, Howell's took part in the Cardiff and Vale Novice Qualifiers at the Sport Wales Centre. The U12s had a brilliant competition with Aseel leading the team made up of Eleni, Loulou, Nicole, Numa and Sophie to win joint gold with Bishop of Llandaff High School. Qualifying for the finals, the team then had to pull out all the stops again on Monday to go for a podium position. Missing out on gold by less than half a mark the U12s finished 3rd in Wales.
 
The U11s also competed on Friday 23rd November and produced some excellent routines across the board. The team consisted of Aleighka, Bella, Chloe, Isabella and Georgie. The girls did very well and were pipped to the top spot by Rhyd -y-Pennau School by a whisker. Producing high marks on the vault all the Howell’s over 9s were looking on route for a medal. To the delight of the girls, their families and everyone at Howell’s the U11s were crowned the Welsh Novice Champions.
