History Club's Young Quills

The girls in History Club have been very busy over the last month reading and then writing reviews for the History Association Young Quills competition. They are helping judge a national competition to find the best newly published fiction book for children with a historical theme.  We were all excited a month ago when a lovely box of books arrived at the History department and the girls have been reading and reviewing them ever since. We have enjoyed talking about the books in the weekly History Club on Tuesday break time. One of the most popular books was the Goose Road. A big thank you to Livi, Sophie, Elin, Seren, Glory, Izzy, Amelie, Rose, Christina, Samira and Shifa for all their reviews which have now been sent to the History Association.  Livi wins the prize for the most reviews, Glory for the most detailed, Izzy the Year 10 prize, Christina for the most interesting and Samira the most accurate. They will receive their prizes in Section Assembly next week.
