On Tuesday 8th October, in partnership with Cardiff and the Vale College and Glamorgan Cricket Club, we held our first Howzat! Cricket Academy at the SWALEC Stadium to engage girls from across Cardiff to play cricket. It was a pleasure to welcome over 120 girls from Danescourt Primary School, Lansdowne Primary School, Mount Stuart Primary School, St Mary the virgin Primary School and Fitzalan High School as well as our own students to participate in a day of cricketing fun. Many thanks to Ed Smart from the Community Cricket Team at Glamorgan County Cricket Club and his excellent team of coaches, joined by students from Cardiff and the Vale College, who made the day such a success. Thank you also to Mrs Crawford, Mrs Leigh and everyone involved from Howell’s who made the day run so smoothly.
