Hywelian Hanan named National Poet of Wales

We were delighted to hear that Howell’s alumna and poet Hanan Issa has been named the new National Poet of Wales. The role celebrates writing from Wales both at home and abroad. Run by Literature Wales, it aims to take poetry to new audiences and encourages others to use their creative voice to inspire positive change. This is a tremendous achievement, and we very much look forward to welcoming Hanan back to Howell’s in September when she will be speaking at our Class of 2022’s Prizegiving ceremony. Click here to find out more.
