Hywelian Louise Sadler competes in her first Senior Commonwealths

This year has been rather exciting for Hywelian Louise Sadler as she represented Great Britain at a senior level and competed on the international stage. Everyone at Howell's was so pleased to hear that she was selected for her first Senior Commonwealths, which took place last week in London at the University of East London.

At this event, she represented Wales and competed during the heatwave which was a challenge of its own. Louise made it to the quarter-finals in her individual event, narrowly missing the semi-finals by one point and finishing in 6th position. She was delighted to make the top 8 at a major world championship, her best ever result. On Friday she competed in a team event, where Louise and her fellow teammates qualified for the quarter-finals. They finished the day with a podium finish to become Commonwealth Silver medallists!

Louise told us that she is so proud of her team for such an amazing performance! It was an unforgettable experience, particularly with the support from her Welsh teammates and extended community.
