John Lewis Innovation Challenge

In April, Year 6 took part in the John Lewis Innovation Challenge, which involved them designing new items to be used out of an old school blazer. Each of the five teams came up with some incredible ideas and we were thoroughly impressed by the originality of their designs. This week, we were contacted by John Lewis to say that one of the teams, ‘FutureKidz’ had achieved one of the runner up prizes! Their idea was to use old blazers and turn them into hats for children who are dealing with hair loss for any reason. The judges loved the way the blazers had been upcycled, but also the way the girls had thought of wider, social issues.
