On Thursday 26th April, the Cardiff and South East Wales branch of the Oxford University Society invited Miss Hughes and four Year 12 students (Natasha S, Ellie K, Ffion M and Anoushka N) to join them for a thought provoking talk by Carole Pateman, Distinguished Professor Emeritus in the department of Political Science at UCLA. An interesting insight into the historical and current contexts of sexual consent and consent to be governed sparked a number of insightful questions from our students, leaving the Oxford University Alumni suitably impressed. Well done girls and thank you to organiser Stephen Parry-Jones for inviting us again this year.
