Rounders
The Year 8 Rounders Team played Radyr Comprehensive School on Monday. It was perfect weather for rounders. Both teams had a fantastic first innings during which they scored most rounders. There was some appropriate risk taking to gain the half rounders towards the end of the innings. In the second innings, both teams tried very hard to maintain their lead, the A team held on to the lead but unfortunately the B team lost a bit of concentration towards the end and lost. However it was a great display of comradery enjoying sport. Well done all.
Year 9 played Rougemont School as the temperatures soared and the Year 9 A team was on fire. Fantastic batting especially when facing the Under 16s welsh bowler, but I have to say the fielding was absolutely fantastic and a joy to watch. The B team fought hard in both innings but lost 12-9½, they too demonstrated great team work and sportsmanship. Well done everyone.

Martial Arts
Isra and Sanaa M. recently received their black belts in karate. This is a great achievement after training three times a week, on average over 10 years. The grading took place over 3 days and included a 5km dawn run, breaking concrete blocks and tiles and fought at least 20 opponents in 3 hours. This is a massive achievement. Well done girls.
