Stem Careers News November 2018

On Tuesday 27th November, we were delighted to welcome Mr Ben Thomas, Marketing Executive with ESTnet, to our Year 10 assembly so that he could present prizes to Rhianne H and Ayesha C. These prizes were awarded for their high level of participation and work ethic displayed whilst our school visited this year's recent Skills Cymru exhibition. Over 7000 students visited the stand and our two students were amidst a small number who immediately stood out for these important future employers. Rhianne and Ayesha were particularly praised for their enthusiasm, commitment and collaboration which are all highly valued in the modern workplace along with their specific STEM skill set. (http://www.estnet.uk.net/)

Our congratulations go to both of these students who have continued to develop their career profiles with Rhianne's successful application to Ford's Engineering Saturday Club and Ayesha's is actively pursuing an application for an Aerospace engineering course. Jennifer E is also congratulated on her successful application to Ford's Engineering Saturday Club and she has also applied to Aerospace. We wish our students every success with their future plans.
