On Thursday 7th February we were delighted to welcome a group of Chinese students who are training to be teachers. They were being hosted by Cardiff and Vale College for a two-week exchange programme to explore teaching methods and practices in the UK. The students were treated to a warm Welsh welcome of a traditional roast lunch in the Howell’s dining room, then magnificent musical performances from Prep School students. Mr Walters and Mrs Harrison-Hughes presented to the group on the teaching methods we use at Howell’s, and they then spent the rest of the day observing lessons before taking a tour of the School and enjoying tea and Welsh cakes prior to heading back to Cardiff and Vale College. We thoroughly enjoyed hearing their stories about the differences between teaching in the UK and China, and wish them all a safe trip back home.
