Success in UKMT Junior Maths Challenge 2019

Our Year 8 students achieved an impressive 2 Gold, 10 Silver and 10 Bronze Certificates in this year's recent UKMT Junior Maths Challenge. Over 250 000 pupils from across the UK sat the Junior Maths Challenge with approximately 6% receiving a gold certificate, the next 13% silver and the next 21% bronze. Students had 60 minutes to answer 25 varied multiple-choice mathematical problems which are designed to provoke students’ mathematical thinking and test their problem solving skills in an accessible and yet challenging way.
Our results are as follows:
Gold Certificates: Lydia P, Nayana K
Silver Certificates: Hana E, Amelia S, Meher D, Rania S, Michelle M, Leigha S, Abigail M, Lauren M, Mia S, Blythe E
Bronze Certificates: Veda L, Aaminah G, Daisy R-J, Laura H, Isabelle H, Eluned D S, Sophie W, Sophia H, Phoebe B-B, Katherine T
Many congratulations to these students on their successes and to Lydia who has been successful in getting through to the Junior Kangaroo Challenge. We wish her every success.
