Taking Shakespeare into the Great Outdoors

Last week Year 8 took to the school field during English lessons to act out the garden scenes from Act Three of Shakespeare’s Much Ado About Nothing. Using the natural setting, physical theatre and features of Shakespearean comedy, the girls brought the scenes where Beatrice and Benedick are tricked by their friends to life. The sunshine definitely helped us to feel like we were in Sicily, too!
