Year 2 have enjoyed reading The Firebird as part of their topic on Fire this half term. The Firebird is a beautiful traditional tale from Russia and the girls thoroughly enjoyed using pencils and pastels to recreate the Firebird from their imaginations. The artwork is displayed on a shimmering backdrop of sequins to add some sparkle to the classroom alongside our motivational and positive window message: never let anyone dull your sparkle.
