"On Monday 27th November 2017, at 10.30am, the fire men from Blue Watch, Ely, came to set fire to our Tudor houses, or in other words, burn out Tudor houses down!" Dahlia
"We carefully took our Tudor houses outside and we placed them in a special order, big ones at the back and small ones at the front." Emily T
"But then Lottie remembered her person in the upstairs window, Steve, the fireman, came to the rescue! He cut the person out of the window and gave her to Lottie, everyone clapped and cheered. Then the Fire men put petrol on the Tudor houses and a smell drifted into our noses, it smelled really disgusting, everyone said so!" Jacky
"Next, we watched the fire men set fire to our houses and the wind made the fire spread quickly, just like the Great Fire of London." Audrina
"The fire smelt horrible so I stood far away from the smell. Georgia’s house was burnt down first. My house was close to the fire and I was really upset. The wind was blowing far and wide." Rosie
"When the fire stopped all that was left was ash. I think the Tudor houses caught fire easily because they were close together and the wind was blowing." Izzy
"At the end it looked like newspaper and rubbish and smelled of rotten fish. The fire men had to scoop it up like it was horse poo." Eve
A big thank you to Blue Watch from Ely Fire Station for helping to create the Great Fire of Howell’s School. Something the girls will remember forever.
