Transport for Wales ran a competition a few months ago asking students across Wales to nominate names for their brand new fleet of trains. Transport for Wales asked that the names be linked to landmarks, places or heroes of Wales and the students had to write a brief explanation of why they had chosen their specific name.
These trains will be travelling all over Wales and several of our Year 5 girls’ entries were selected! The girls and their train names are listed below:

Elizabeth M - Billy Wynt
Sophie C - Roath Park
Daisy R-P - Caerphilly Castle
