Two Under 11 Hockey Teams travelled to Rougemont School in Newport on Wednesday 17th October. Team Purple, captained by Sophie D started extremely quickly, with Carys M marking her return to the pitch following an untimely injury with a great goal. She followed it up with a few more, thanks to some great passing moves by fellow goalscorer Sophie, as well as Mati D, Tallula C, Elizabeth E and Amelie W. Thanks to their solid defending and good goalkeeping by Evie P, Team Purple ran out 6-1 winners. Team Pink also started quickly, but found themselves behind early on. Jess M, the team's captain, was all over the pitch and played really well, supported by Tilly M, Daisy D, Harriet M, Rhea M, Ffion L and Lucy D. Rougemont were able to score once again early in the second half, with Isobel P preventing them from getting any more in the Howell's goal. Team Pink responded well to each goal with one of their own, resulting in a 2-2 draw! Well done to all players in Year 6 who have had a busy first half-term on the hockey field.
