Under 11 National Netball Finals

It was the first time that a team from Howell's School had reached the Under 11 National Finals, and it was a great experience. After the 30 minute trip to Merthyr Tydfil Leisure Centre, the girls drew their first match against Dyffryn Y Glowyr (Swansea Valleys) 6-6 in a thrilling encounter. HSL went on to draw their second match of the competition, finishing 7-7 against Maes-y-Felin (Holywell). Llangennech (Carmarthen) proved to be very difficult opposition in Game 3 (2-10), as did Caerfilli (2-6) in Game 4. After a long day, the girls lost their final match to Tywyn (Gwynedd), who played outstanding netball and eventually went on to be crowned National Champions. It was a great tournament for Howell's, who will look to carry their success through to next season!
