On Tuesday 14th November, our Year 13 Rotary Interact Presidents, Ella F and Catrin B, and our Year 12 Charity Prefects, Tash S, Sabeeha B, Anoushka N, Dagmawi Y and Doriana D visited the Marie Curie Hospice in Penarth. During the last academic year Howell’s students raised a staggering £6,660 which is the amount needed to finance the running costs of the Hospice for one day. The students were thanked by the Hospice Manager and the Hospice fundraising team for all their efforts and had the opportunity to participate in a question and answer session about the work of the Hospice and had a tour of all the facilities. We are very proud to be the first organisation in Wales to ‘pay for a day’!
