Girls from Year 4 had a busy afternoon on the hockey pitch on Friday 17th November, taking on teams from Cathedral School at Talybont Sports Centre. Team #1 split their two matches, winning their first game thanks to goals from Lara O and Celeste R before losing their second game. Alice W, Catherine H, Safia S-T, Phoebe C, Lara O, Celeste R and Francesca B worked very hard in both matches and became increasingly more proficient at getting the ball from defence to attack as time went on. Team #2 also worked tirelessly in their two fixtures but unfortunately ended up on the losing side each time. Anja R-J, Bethan E, Mina J, Amelia D, Chloe S, Poppy B-E and Tatjana G made considerable progress over the course of their two matches and should be very pleased with their performances. Some of the girls were playing in their very first matches which was great to see! We encourage all keen hockey players to not only attend Hockey Club during lunch time on Friday, but to also explore the opportunities outside of school with lots of excellent hockey clubs in the area.
