Year 5 and 6 Netball Success.

After a successful first round of netball fixtures against The Cathedral School in January, the teams from Year 5 and 6 returned on St. David’s Day for more of the same against their Llandaff neighbours. Year 5 progressed considerably as their match went on, passing the ball nicely up the court and feeding the circle well on their way to an exciting 6-3 victory! Well done to all who played, most notably Abigail S, who was picked out as the ‘girl-of-the-game’ by the opposition. Year 6 were keen for success once again in both of their matches, and got off to a great start when Team #2 ran out 8-0 winners on the outside court. Again, all girls performed very well but a special mention to Rachel T and Lauren W who earned girl-of-the-game honours this time around! Back inside the Sports Hall, Team #1 had a brilliantly fast start, working well together to score six times in the first quarter. They kept up this good pace and proceeded to win 16-8 on the back of some great shooting by girl-of-the-game Ella R, as well as Meghan S and Lydia P.
