Year 7 Debate the Dangerous Dogs Act

Six members of the Year 7 Debating Club went to the impressive venue of Cardiff City Hall on Thursday 22nd March to take part in a series of debates organised by the RSPCA. The designated topic for Howell's was whether the Dangerous Dogs Act should be repealed. Michelle M and Hana E spoke in favour of repeal, while Nayana K and Aarona S explained why it was important to retain it. The girls had researched the Act's provisions and application beforehand and had written their own speeches. Aaminah G and Amy D were observers and reporters of the event. All the girls took part with confidence and flair. Well done, girls, and thank you to Miss Kerry Jones for accompanying them to the event.
