On Thursday 25th September we were delighted to welcome students from Llanwern, Cowbridge, Caerleon and Stanwell who joined our own Year 11 students to take part in the Entrepreneurial Experience.
During the morning session Glen Fendley, Director of Development at The Girls’ Day School Trust inspired the students with entrepreneurial ideas linked to fundraising. The students enjoyed this interactive session immensely. In the afternoon session we were delighted to welcome guest speaker, the entrepreneur Pinky Lilani, who is the founder and chair of a number of awards which attempt to recognise influential women and leaders. She is also an Indian cookery specialist, consultant and owner of Spice Magic Ltd. One Year 11 student commented that: "She was amazing, truly inspirational, with a great sense of humour!" To close the session students took part in a fun activity and presented their ideas. It was a fantastic day during which students learned many transferable skills. Well done to you all.
