At 5pm on Saturday, 3rd October, more than thirty Hywelians who left school after taking A Level exams in 1997, accompanied by a few husbands and children, gathered in the Board Room for a reunion with their former class-mates. It was the first time that many of them had met up for more than 18 years! Mrs Sully and Miss Hannah Roberts accompanied them on a tour of the school, amidst much reminiscing! Afterwards the Hywelians enjoyed drinks in the Stone Hall before sitting down to a delicious meal in the Day Room, which had been beautifully decorated. It was a very happy and pleasant occasion, and it was lovely to hear as much of their news as possible: the time passed all too quickly! We hope to see many of them at future Hywelian events.
