On 1st December, Year 11 Religious Studies students took part in a trip to North West London to gain insight into the Jewish community of Hendon. In the morning they visited Finchley Synagogue and discovered the most important features, they then listened to Holocaust survivor Harry Olmar who gave a very moving talk about his experiences. After a kosher fish and chips lunch and a wander around the Jewish shops the students then attended Jewish Studies lessons at Hasmonean High School, an Orthodox Jewish school that teaches girls and boys on separate two sites. It was an enjoyable and educational day.
