On Monday 16th December we were thrilled to welcome back more than 100 Hywelians to the Great Hall for an evening of cocktails and canapés. The Great Hall was transformed into an elegant and sophisticated cocktail lounge. Guests were not only treated to cocktails and canapés, but also to a wonderful medley of Christmas songs arranged and performed brilliantly by Christina C. and Olivia W.
It was wonderful to welcome so many of our youngest Hywelians, who collected their year books, as well as Hywelians from many different year groups. Barbara Forte, from the Class of 1944, said of the evening:
“Congratulations for a most wonderful evening - just right to set us off for Christmas! I was so very pleased that I got there in time to enjoy everything! Lovely to see so many of the younger Hywelians there and also to see the 'bench mark' in style in all that Hywelians do at their re-unions still so much in evidence! Hope it will encourage new members to come along to other functions.
Thank you again for a lovely evening - faultless!”
