Year 10 conducted themselves as mature young adults at our highly successful Employers' Day on Thursday 26th June. They had made every effort to be smartly dressed and well presented in all aspects of their demeanour. Our visiting keynote speakers were impressed by their attentiveness, questioning and participation. Furthermore, the visiting employers were extremely impressed with the quality of interviews especially with our students showcasing their skills at such a tender age. Several employers reported that they would have offered jobs there and then.
Some feedback from the students:
I learned how to write a good CV and prepare for an interview which will help me stand out as a good employee in the future.
It was useful to learn about the World of Work and what employers look for in potential job-seekers.
The interviewers we had were nice and they inspired us.
It helped us gain confidence and got rid of nerves so that when we do interviews that actually count, we will be more relaxed.
The evaluations of our CVs and interview was very useful.
