The Year 6 Netball team took part in Sport Cardiff’s Annual Netball Tournament on Wednesday 8th March, held just down the road at The Cathedral School. Schools from all over the west of Cardiff brought teams, with Howell's taking on the hosts as well as Danescourt Primary School, Whitchurch Primary School, Creigiau Primary School and Hawthorn Primary School. Despite dropping their first game to Cathedral School, the girls went on to win their following four group matches with some excellent teamwork and build-up play, resultantly reaching the semi-final! HSL met their match at this stage, losing to eventual champions Whitchurch A with a score of 3-0. The girls followed this up with a 5-0 victory against Danescourt A to finish 3rd place overall. The girls performed excellently throughout the day and should be credited for their hard-work and effort. Well done to Angelina C, Ella R, Lauren W, Meghan S, Alex P, Michelle M, Issy T, Meher D and good luck to all teams who are competing over the next few weeks in fixtures against The Cathedral School, Rougemont School, The Red Maids School and Royal High School, Bath.
