Rotary Club Update

On Wednesday, our College Interactors were invited to attend the Rotary Club of Cardiff breakfast at Whitchurch Golf Club. This was a busy meeting with student representatives from Whitchurch High School, Cardiff Sixth Form College and the Cathedral School in attendance. Juliette G. (Year 13) gave a presentation on her multi activity and leadership week at Storey Arms this summer, generously sponsored by Rotary Club of Cardiff Breakfast. She talked about the skills she had developed during the course, as well as the opportunity to meet new people whilst undertaking physically and mentally challenging activities.  President Ella F. and Treasurer Alyssa W. (both Year 13) also gave a presentation outlining the fundraising they have undertaken since being awarded a place on the Rotary Interact Committee, and their plans for the future. The charities being supported this year are Latch, Alalay, MacMillan and Chernobyl Children Cancer Care Cardiff (the 5 Cs). Events for this academic year kicked off this week with a Mixer Party for Years 12 and 13 and will be followed by a coffee morning on Monday and a Staff & College netball match next Friday.
