On Tuesday 14th February, we travelled by minibus to the St Fagans National History Museum. It was bitterly cold so we wore our hats, gloves and scarves….. oh, and ear muffs!
When we arrived at the museum we were VERY excited. We went to visit Beti and she showed us how they washed clothes over 100 years ago. We helped her carry the yolk and used the dolly tub and the mangle to clean Grandma’s enormous bloomers. It was lots of fun. Next we went to the Gwalia stores and Mr Lewis helped us to do our shopping. We bought loose tea, coffee, sugar, an egg, Jammy Dodger biscuits, an old fashioned hot water bottle and a baby bottle that looked like a banana.
We were lucky enough to eat our picnic lunch inside before we explored the homes from the past. A very big thank you to our parent helpers for coming with us on our trip.
