Rotary Interactors from Years 12 and 13 have been busy organising a book distribution in celebration of World Book Day. Students from the Senior School were invited last Friday to pop up to the Learning Resource Centre to collect a free book. This year’s titles included paperbacks by Jonathan Coe, Carol Ann Duffy and Lucy Diamond. The event was very well attended and a simultaneous cake sale raised £120.25 for the 5Cs charity – Chernobyl Children Cancer Care Cardiff – who sponsor volunteers to work at the children’s hospice summer camp in Belarus, where there is still an incredibly high incidence of cancer, particularly among children.
