Skills Cymru at the Motorpoint Area

Year 10 visited the interactive careers exhibition held by Skills Cymru at the Cardiff Motorpoint Arena where they took part in over 100 different activities. Many of our girls visited the NHS stand to find out about the areas of shortage in these career areas and others were found to be trying out working on a forensic scene. Skills in many virtual environments were popular. Here is a viewpoint from one of the groups:

"The Skills Cymru exhibition was a great opportunity to discover new careers and opened lots of doors to our future. Fun team building exercises helped to inspire us, and taught valuable skills for the workplace. We had the chance to talk to professionals from many different fields and backgrounds – their advice was invaluable and very informative. All in all, a worthwhile morning and a thoroughly enjoyable experience!"
