On Saturday November 26th, College debaters were in action again, this time at the Warwick Schools Debating Competition. The Year 13 team of Nia M-R and Udita D were particularly successful, achieving two firsts and a second in the preliminary rounds and narrowly missing contention in the final.
Both Year 12 teams also performed creditably, Hema N and Ishrat C also achieving a first and second placing, and first-time competitors Imogen C and Gopikaa A securing a very promising second placing. This was a long and challenging day with the Howell's teams competing against some very experienced debaters in a field of approximately sixty teams, but the stimulating topics provoked impassioned and enjoyable debates. All the debaters are to be congratulated on their excellent performance.
