Year 1 Visit Llandaff Post Office

On Thursday 24th October, Year 1 went on an autumn walk to Llandaff High Street. As we went through the park, we noticed all the signs of autumn, with beautiful reds, golds and browns. We saw lots of squirrels getting ready for the colder weather by collecting food. We walked past Llandaff Cathedral, which had a beautiful red tree in its grounds, and walked up the steps and through the lychgate. We made our way to the Post Office and took it in turns to buy a first class stamp. We then stuck our stamps on letters we had written in school the day before and put our letters in the post box. We were very lucky with the weather and the sun began to peep out through the clouds when we walked around the Bishop's Palace. The minibuses came to pick us up to take us back to school. We had a lovely time. Thank you very much to the two mums who came along too.
